Application No. A2/10 for Minor Variance Address:
111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland
Lake
DISCUSSION: Application presented
by: Mike Guimond as agent
Mr. T. O’Connor requested further understanding of permitted uses other
than funeral home.
Mr. M. Aldred replied that the only other uses would be those listed
under O-2 Institutional Zone.
Ms. P. Moreau introduced herself as the current tenant of the property
and explained that she was present to learn what was happening with the
property.
Ms. L. Thurston requested information on how traffic flow would be
accommodated. Mr. G. French replied that traffic would be no different than his
current location, which has not been an issue. He also explained that vehicle
use would not be constant as is the case with current use of this property as
office space.
Mr. M. Aldred discussed the fact that building and planning requirements
would still be applied. Also introduced was the option of assigning the parking
requirements of a funeral home to the use of funeral home for this property.
Letters from the public: None
Motion to: include funeral home and chapel as a
permitted use for this property
